Bouquets galour....

...Well I know you have been waiting for a while for a few photos of my work....so here you are! No, No, No....I havent been just chilling out with family, friends and the Wonderful Dutch man!! ;)

A twinkling, Sparkling Hand~Tied bouquet, with 3 little heart wands for the little ladies....

Stunning Ruby...a teardrop shape which packs a shimmering punch of Vintage Magpie decadence!

Ivory and Mocha compact shower....sweet, feathery and light.

This one is very special to me.... every item in it has a memory, a meaning for the bride. It has mum's, grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers items in it, one for each of the people who cannot share her day with her...
Hopefully Vintage Magpie has been able to help her take them with her; to walk into the next exciting part of her life....

I'm very proud of all my work.... but this one, make my soul sing with pride.
Good luck and congratulations to all my brides...enjoy your special and beautiful day xxx

A Girls Best Friend

For 13 years, this gorgeous English Bull Terrier has made me smile, laugh, he has annoyed me, ripped up furniture, nearly fallen through ice. He had a habit of running at you with huge sticks in his mouth, taking you down by the ankles... but he has always been a part of our family.

He was the Bob's first friend as a puppy and they have silently adored each other, with the odd 10 minutes of crazy~ness each day.

He has been my Mums Best Friend.

Albeit a completely crazy, hilarious, naughty friend...

He came to me in my dreams, I got to stroke his fur one last time. His eyes told me he was happy. Thank you for everything Louis xxx

The Wonderful Dutch man and the Bob about to run for the sea... Bob wouldn't have any of it... the sea moves, don't you know... coward!!

A fantastic sky to end the Christmas break... Thank you everybody...We had a ball xxx

A weekend with a surprise!

This weekend I went to Amsterdam...and the wonderful Dutch man didn't know a thing about it!

I was invited to his surprise leaving party by his parents around a month ago, and it has been top secret, and the hardest thing to not let it slip...in fact I surprised myself in my ability to lie!

His face was a picture when he saw me sitting on the sofa at his parents house. A double take was needed!!

The party was a big success and his friends have made sure that he will not go hungry. As the biggest hamper I have ever seen nearly failed to get through the front door!! Needless to say there will be no lack of dutch food in our house for months!!

It made me realise how precious our friends and family are. 'I will look after him well', was my phase of the day!!

But the star of the show (as always!) was the wonderful dutch mans nephew; Tim. I have never known a baby to be so happy all day long. Tim and I have a close bond....as he doesn't speak dutch either!! We get on smashingly!!

A fabulous time was had by all!! xxx

Remembering....

7 Years....hard to believe.
9/11 touched everyone in the world, most of you will be able to pinpoint the moment...what you were doing...who you were with. It is true that the world changed, and we still feel it now, 7 year later.
I remember I was just going to turn 21 in 7 days, I was at work and a customer on the phone told me about what was happening over that vast blue ~ green ocean... I dont think I understood the impact until I saw the images on the television that night...images that are so hard to watch, and always will be.
Like the saying goes a picture paints a thousand words...
Look at your life today and understand how wonderful, bright, exciting, and beautiful it is. Take your time to say the little things, which you sometimes forget to say.
Be happy
If your not doing so already.... follow your bliss.....
Tell someone you love them.....
Look at the sky and say 'Thank you'

Roses, roses, everywhere...

Vintage Magpie has been busy making some single roses...

Great for little ones on your special day, and they can keep them forever, or as a gift for any occasion.

But if your having a small wedding, wouldn't they look fantastic on the tables? A favour that people will love.

I can make them with any fabric you have. Did you wear something special for your first date? A gorgeous dress that has wonderful memories? Add those memories into your day. ;)

I hope you love them!! xxx
